Allcargo Logistics Ltd, a part of the Avashya Group, is a leading multinational company providing integrated logistics solutions and offers specialised logistics services across multimodal transport operations, container freight station operations and project and engineering solutions. The company has recently announced appointing Kris De Witte as the new managing director of ECU Hold NV- which is the company’s wholly owned subsidiary. Mr De Witte would take charge of and look into the strategic growth of the ECU Line and evaluating new business opportunities and markets.
However, Marc Stoffelen will remain and carry on as CEO of ECU International, being fully responsible for the LCL (Less Container Load) business of the Avashya Group under the ECU brand. Mr Stoffelen will continue to report to Mr De Witte who is responsible to the Allcargo Board, being the holding company. The latter will collaborate with the board and the chairman for the strategic vision of the group to be driven outside India for an aggressive growth in the coming years.
Commenting on the appointment, Shashi Kiran Shetty, chairman of Allcargo Logistics Limited said, “Together, as co-CEO’s, Marc Stoffelen and Kris De Witte have been running ECU line during the last 5 years. Initially they had a geographical divide which was later changed to a functional divide. I believe their teamwork and joint leadership has worked well for our company. ECU has made great strides in these 5 years to become a successful and well respected firm. We have made these changes in line with the Avashya Group’s vision and goals. I wish Kris all the best wishes as he is going to take a very challenging role. I also wish Marc the very best who will now have a far greater responsibility.”
Mr De Witte has been in the logistics business for nearly 30 years and with ECU Line since 1999 and until recently as CEO. He has been involved in all aspects of ECU line’s expansion over the years and his rich experience has added value to the company.
