More and more of the larger logistic players are opening up for technology investments in 2010 and the number of those companies wanting to invest up to Rs 10 million has doubled to 14% in 2010 compared to last year.
These are some of the findings of a survey commissioned by leading IT player Softlink Logistic Systems.
The survey on ‘Adoption of Technology in Indian Logistics Sector-2009’ also revealed according to 89% of the larger players direct customer request will remain the key driving factor for them to invest in technology this year.
The other two key factors are improving customer service (88%) and improving data quality (69%). |
