ShipTek 2009 — International Conference on Technology Revolution in Marine and Offshore Industry is scheduled to be held between May 6 and 7, 2009, at Singapore Expo in Singapore.
 
The inaugural chapter of ShipTek in 2008 was held at Cochin in India. The success of the first edition inspired Marine BizTV, the chief organiser of the event, to consider Singapore, one of the busiest maritime centres of the world, as the venue for the second edition.
 
ShipTek Expo 2009 is a popular event that gives its participants and delegates the opportunity to showcase the latest technologies in the maritime industry. The focus of ShipTek 2009 will be to highlight the latest technological developments that will benefit the global maritime sector.
 
This maritime event is an ideal platform for people in the shipping industry to network with their counterparts, ink business deals, develop trade relations and provide impetus to their business.
 
The International Maritime Video & Excellence Awards, 2009, will mark its third anniversary at ShipTek 2009. The award show, followed by a gala dinner, will be held at one of the most prestigious hotels in Singapore, Swissotel — The Stamford. ShipTek 2009 will also witness the launch of Marine BizTV in Southeast Asia.
