Shipping Event of the Month

Automotive Logistics China 2009

Automotive Logistics China (ALC) 2009 is one of the premier automotive logistics events organised in China. Scheduled to be held from April 20-22, this mega event will take place at the Intercontinental Pudong, Shanghai, China.

The use of automobiles in China has increased significantly in the recent years. It is estimated that the number of automobile owners in China will rise from 50 million in 2008 to around 500 million in 2030. China has, thus, accelerated its efforts to collaborate with innovative solution providers, suppliers and logistics service providers (LSPs) that will help it achieve the status of the largest automobile manufacturer in the world.

ALC 2009 presents a golden opportunity for those involved in the logistics sector to judge the market potential in China, network with prospective clients and partners, and discuss about various issues pertaining to the industry. The event is the ideal place to gain first hand knowledge of the business opportunities that suppliers and LSPs can capitalise on in the Chinese automotive market.

The two-day event will include sessions on the latest developments in the global logistics and infrastructure sector, supply chain management (SCM), development of LSPs and so on. Industry leaders and senior managers will also participate in roundtable discussions about the impact of new laws and regulations on the logistics sector.
